Memorial ceremony to be held for those who died on the job

WAUSAU — Remember those who died on the job.

The Marathon County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, will hold a Workers’ Memorial Ceremony at 5 p.m. April 28 for people who were killed on the job in Marathon County.

The memorial will be held next to Opportunity Inc., formerly known as the VFW, 388 River Drive, Wausau. In inclement weather, the memorial will be held indoors at the main hall at the Wausau Labor Temple, 318 S. Third Ave., Wausau.

The event is expected to end at about 6 p.m.
