ABBOTSFORD, Wis. — A 26-year-old man is facing attempted homicide charges for allegedly attempting to stab two victims at an Clark County apartment.
Police were called April 28 to an apartment complex where Vidal Lebron Ayala allegedly started a fight. Police say Ayala attempted to use a beer bottle to strike a man, who was dancing with a woman inside the apartment, then tried to stab him. The intended victim, however, used a shovel to fight Ayala off and witnesses intervened.
A short time later, surveillance footage showed Ayala allegedly attacking a second victim with a large kitchen knife, court documents state.
A Clark County Judge on Wednesday, May 1 set a $500,000 cash bond for Ayala, who faces recommended charges of attempted homicide along with additional counts yet to be determined.
Formal charges are expected to be filed on May 9.
