Everest claims win in Leg #2 of WVC meet

Stevens Point– On a chilly and damp afternoon, the D.C. Everest Evergreens claimed victory in Leg #2 of the Wisconsin Valley Conference golf meet.

Everest earned a team score of 328, edging second place SPASH and third place Marshfield.

Rissell Dettmering of Merrill was the individual low scorer, followed by Ben Peloquin  and Sam Hagedorn D.C. Everest.  Peloquin and Hagedorn shot a 78.

Fourth was Carter Cygan of Wausau East, who carded a 79.

In the overall standings, Marshfield, Stevens Point and D.C. Everest are all tied with 12 points heading into Leg #3.

Cygan is the current individual leader.
