SPASH baseball takes two from Everest

Stevens Point– The SPASH Panthers and D.C. Everest Evergreens locked horns in Stevens Point on Thursday for doubleheader action and the Panthers came away with a sweep.  SPASH won the first game 7-0 and claimed a 12-3 win in the second game.

In the first game, Logan Schulfer picked up the win, going six innings, striking out six and not allowing a run.

Ty Tretter suffered the loss for Everest.

Dayne Hoyord was 2-3 with a home run and three RBI for SPASH.  Hunter Gipp was 2-3 with a double for the Evergreens.

In the second game, SPASH brought out the big lumber. Evan Chambers, Connor Mrozek, Austin Beyer, Logan Schulfer and Hoyord all doubled.  Beyer doubled twice.

Everest’s Brady Sendelbach was 2-3 with a home run, while Gipp also homered.
