WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
Crews are responding to a motorcycle crash that happened Saturday morning east of Wausau in which one person is reportedly injured.
The crash was reported at about 10:15 a.m. near the intersection of Hwy. 29 and CTH J in Hatley.
Emergency personnel at the scene called for a helicopter to transport the injured man but opted instead to transport the victim to Aspirus Wausau Hospital by ambulance when waiting for the helicopter to arrive became impractical.
The man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to unconfirmed scanner traffic.
