A 34-year-old Wausau man will spend 11 years in federal prison after being sentenced Wednesday in Madison on charges of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine.
Allen was convicted of the charge in November after pleading guilty, according to federal court records.
On April 17, 2018, Wausau Police Department officers observed Allen and his co-defendant, Nathaniel Drow, sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot in Wausau. When officers, who were aware that Drow and Allen both had open arrest warrants approached the vehicle, Drow jumped out of the passenger seat and dropped a small baggie containing methamphetamine, according to court documents.
Officers searched the vehicle and found approximately 220 grams of methamphetamine located in the front passenger door. The investigation revealed that Drow had been selling methamphetamine in Wausau for the previous two weeks.
Drow, 32, also of Wausau, was sentenced in November to 10 years in federal prison for his role in the case.
