Wausau West softball takes two from East

Wausau– Wausau West came up with two wins over rival Wausau East on Tuesday in Wisconsin Valley Conference softball action.

West took the first game 4-0 and secured a 13-2 win in game two.

West’s Jenna Kettner had a double and three RBI for the Warriors in the first game.  Abby Schilling picked up the win, tossing a one hitter and striking out 13 batters.

In game two, Schilling doubled again and went 3-5 at the plate.  Kaylee Pfiffner was 2-3 with three RBI and Cassie Oelke was 2-5 with two RBI.

Jenna Kettner and Kylie Rennie each had two hits for the Warriors.

Kit Kronberger had two hits for East and Chelsea Lambrecht hit a home run.

Meanwhile, Shaelyn Talley picked up the win in the circle, striking out eight and allowing just four hits.
