Elsie Sturm
Elsie A. Sturm, 86, Schofield, formerly of Park Falls, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 9, 2019, under the care of Ascension Hospice.
She was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Wausau, daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Kurth) Lambrecht. On April 11, 1964, she married Hershal Sturm. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1988.
For 27 years, Elsie worked as a cook for the Head Start Program in Park Falls until her retirement. She was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the quilting group. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed camping, cooking, embroidery, sewing and cross-stitch. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include eight children, Doreen Hintz, Phillps, Doug (Susan) Hintz, Merrill, Darla (Scottie) Zimmerman, Schofield, Dale (Annie) Hintz, Hewitt, Deena Sturm, Weston, Darrel (Sheila) Sturm, Griffin, Georgia, Dawn (Scott) Gilmeister, Stevens Point and Debbie (Martin) Mayes, Griffin, Georgia; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Hershal, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Hintz; an infant granddaughter; two brothers, Herman and Norman Lambrecht; and two sisters, Lydia Lambrecht and Esther Petri.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Peace United Church of Christ, Schofield. Rev. Gloria Van Houten will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 until 7 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau, and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.

Autumn “Mum” Kinney
Autumn Frances Kinney “Mum”, 84, of Wausau died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in Rochester Minnesota, surrounded by her family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Autumn was born March 11, 1935, in Wausau, to Evan and Frances (Galistel) Kaufman. She was married to Patrick David Kinney on June 15, 1957, in Wausau. They built a home in the town of Weston and were blessed with eight children. Autumn began her first career as a loving and caring stay at home mom. During this time the family enjoyed Antique Auto Club Car shows, trips to visit their cabin on Moose Lake in Hayward, and summer travel to see relatives in Michigan which included crossing the Mackinac Bridge.
After her husband’s death in 1980, Autumn began new careers as a grade school lunch attendant and rectory caretaker at St. James and St. Mary’s parishes. This work was particularly meaningful to Autumn as she was very devout in her faith. She enjoyed being able to ensure each child was well cared for and during Christmas would create handmade ornaments for each student. During this time, she developed many ongoing friendships with her coworkers and students’ parents.
For the past 25 years, Autumn was employed at Target as a cashier. She particularly enjoyed the interactions with customers, some of which would wait to have her complete their orders, even when other lines were open. She was a cheerful presence and empathetic listener to everyone she met. She loved to bake and the store staff enjoyed her cookies, cakes and apple crisp made from her apple trees. She enjoyed the diversity of the interactions and supportive friendships she developed while at Target and for this reason she continued to work until her cancer diagnosis in January.
Autumn’s interests were many. She enjoyed knitting, game shows, reading, gardening and yardwork and she spent her summers on her riding lawn mower and tending to her plant beds. Over the years she planted thousands of tulip bulbs in her yard and always eagerly awaited their colorful arrival in spring. She particularly enjoyed the wildlife her gardens attracted, which she viewed through her picture windows while enjoying a cup of coffee.
Autumn’s greatest passion was her family and she was a remarkable mother and grandmother, spending her time off with her children and their families. She was always willing to take on new adventures and in recent years she enjoyed family trips to Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Autumn was selfless, always concerned about others. She was able to see the positive in any circumstance and had a sharp sense of humor and extremely contagious smile. Her enduring positivity always made a difference in others’ lives, right up to the end of her short and courageous battle with cancer. She will be missed by many, but also leaves behind an everlasting legacy of a life well-lived and shared.
Autumn was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick, her parents Evan and Frances (Galistel) Kaufman and her sister Susan Schultz.
Autumn is survived by her loving children: Patrick D. Kinney Jr (Cheryl), Brian Kinney (Margaret), Lynn Borkenhagen (John), Lisa Kinney (Doug), Krista Kulas (Kevin), Christopher Kinney (Connie), Thad Kinney, Joshua Kinney (Tracey) and grandchildren: Christina and Laura Kinney, Justin Kinney, Jenna, Evan and Johnny Borkenhagen, Kolby and Kassie Kulas, Stephen and Stephanie Kinney, Isaiah and Kalie Kinney.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wausau, Wisconsin. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will preside. Burial in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Gary Albright
Gary A. Albright, 76, of Kronenwetter passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Ascension St. Clare Hospital.
Gary was born in Wausau on June 17, 1942, to the late Leo and Helen (Plautz) Albright. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Hannemann, on Oct. 1, 1966. Together they raised three wonderful children, Daniel, Mark and Chari.
After graduating from Wausau East High School, Gary went on to gain two more years of technical education before going to work for GTE Co.; where he retired from after 35 years of employment. He later worked part time for O’Reilly’s for several years before retiring last spring.
Traveling, building projects, listening to polkas and watching old westerns on TV were just a few of the things that Gary enjoyed doing. He loved to take a break to go and talk with the neighbors and meet his friends for breakfast; but most important to Gary was his family. He loved his wife and children, but spending time with his grandchildren is what brought him true joy. Gary will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Gary is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, Daniel (April), Mark (Mary), and Chari (Scott). He is further survived by his grandchildren, Justin, Ben, Kattie, Kyle, and Emilee; step-grandchildren, Anthony (Caitlin), Tyler and Logan; step-greatgrandchildren, Finn and Oliver; his brothers, James (Geri) and Thomas; his sister-in-law, Sandy Albright; as well as his nieces, Stacie, Dawn and Crystal.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy; sister-in-law, Georgia; and brother-in-law, Roger.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, with a celebration of Gary’s life to be held at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven in the town of Kronenwetter. Angela Wiza
Angela Lynn Wiza, 40, of Rosholt passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Ascension St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1978, in the Panama Canal Zone, to Gerald and Kathy Jane (Stanton) Johnston. After graduating high school in Owensboro, Kentucky, the family moved to Rosholt in 1999. On June 22, 2013, she was married to Timothy Wiza.
Angela was a self-employed daycare provider. Her interests included camping, fishing, hunting and she loved taking care of children.
She is survived by her husband, Timothy Wiza; children, Kelsea, Landon and Chloe; grandson, Paxton; father, Jerry (Luetta) Johnston; brother, Darrell Johnston; mother-and-father-in-law, LeRoy and Mary Wiza; and sister-in-law, Karla Wiza.
Angela was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Jane Stanton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Rosholt Fair Park, in Rosholt.

Marvin Wesenick
Marvin G. Wesenick, 83, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2019, at Mount View Care Center. He was born on Aug. 1, 1935, to the late Melvin and Myrtle (Younker) Wesenick.
He served proudly in the United States Air Force from Jan. 20, 1957, until Oct. 13, 1961. He married the love of his life Nena Wesenick; she preceded him in death in 2014.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 113 W. Kort St., Rothschild, WI 54474. Fr. Robert Streveler will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery with full Military Honors performed by the VFW Post 8280.
