Wausau West falls in close game with Eau Claire North

Wausau – Robyn Kirsch went 2-for-2 with a RBI and combined with teammates Shaelyn Talley and Kylie Rennie for six of Wausau West’s six hits on Friday as the Warriors softball team was downed 4-1 by Eau Claire North.

Rennie went 2-for-4 and Talley was 2-for-4 with a double for the Warriors in the nonconference loss. Talley also took the loss as she allowed eight hits in a complete-game effort  She struck out three and walked two.

Makenna Prill went 2-for-3 to lead North. Taylor Wolter and Abby Mowl both doubled for the Huskies and Mackenzie Gilbert earned the win.

Gilbert scattered nine hits, struck out four and walked one.
