Marathon County volunteer opportunities: Week of May 13

RSVP Community Coffee at The Women’s Community. You and your friends are invited to the RSVP Coffee hour on May 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at The Women’s Community, 3200 Hilltop Ave. in Wausau. You will learn about how you can help make a difference in the lives of those who are rebuilding from abusive situations. Volunteers for Events! The Fromm Brothers Historical Preservation Society is looking for volunteers to help with event set-up, tour facilitation, indoor and outdoor clean up and maintenance. Call Cheryl at 715-571-5930 or email cherylbrickner@gmail.com.

Skilled Apparatus Installer. Faith in Action needs skilled and trained volunteers to help with the Senior Home Safety Program. Volunteers assist homeowners ages 60 and older by installing grab bars, hand railings and toilet railings, to help reduce falls within the home. Junior Camp Counselors. The Woodson YMCA is looking for camp counselors (ages 14- 17) who are able to commit to at least five weeks of summer camp. Staff assist in different activities in addition to aiding senior counselors and more! Call Ashley at 715-845-2177 or email abohman@woodsonymca.com.

Be a Garden Guide! Share your knowledge by leading tours of the Monk Botanical Gardens for adult groups and school groups. Welcome and direct the public, hand out support materials and answer questions about the grounds, programs and history. Contact Darcie at 715-261-6309 or info@monkgardens.org.

In-Kind Donated Items Needed
