WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
One person is dead following a single vehicle crash reported early Sunday morning near St. Germain, according to the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department.
Police were called at about 1:15 a.m. to the crash site at Hwy. 155 at 16 Road, which is just north of St. Germain. An initial investigation suggests the northbound vehicle crossed the center line, went into a ditch and struck a tree.
The victim, whose name has not been released, was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
No names have been released and the crash remains under investigation.
