Trig’s bakery in Rhinelander badly damaged in early morning blaze

RHINELANDER, Wis. — Fire tore through a Trig’s bakery and shipping building early Sunday morning in Rhinelander, according to a WJFW report.

The blaze was reported at about 7:30 a.m. at the facility, located at 5070 Grossman Ave., just south of the Forest Home Cemetery.

WJFW reports the blaze appears to have broken out in the trucking and storage area and not in the actual bakery, though both sections are connected. No one was inside the building at the time the blaze began and no one was injured.

The entire back half of the building is in ruins, according to the WJFW report. Fire crews were still at the scene more than three hours later to extinguish any remaining hot spots.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the blaze.
