WAUSAU — A pedestrian was struck Tuesday morning by a vehicle on Forest Street in Wausau, according to emergency scanner traffic.

Police were called at about 10:45 a.m. to the 400 block of Forest Street for a report of a person lying in the roadway. Witnesses say the pedestrian was struck by a Jeep. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and the pedestrian was helped to the side of the road.

There’s no word yet on injuries or whether any citations will be issued.
