MINOCQUA, Wis. — A home was damaged Wednesday in a blaze that began in the garage, according to a WJFW report.

The TV station reports that first responders were summoned at about 5 p.m. to the home on Denise Drive, near the intersection of Hwy. 47 and County Hwy. J for a report of a garage fire. Two people and pets were inside the home but escaped before the blaze spread to the house.

The home is being described as a total loss and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Minocqua Police Department, Woodruff Police Department, Minocqua Fire Department, Woodruff Fire Department, Arbor Vitae Fire Department, Lake Tomahawk Fire Department, Oneida County EMS, and Wisconsin Public Service all responded.
