WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
A kayaker on the Eau Claire River was rescued Sunday after capsizing in Ringle.
The kayaker was paddling the river near the Hatley/Ringle line at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday when the kayak capsized, leaving the boater trapped on a rock in the river.
Rescue crews called for a boat from SAFER to assist in the water rescue. It is not clear whether the boater was wearing a life preserver.
No additional details were immediately available on Sunday.
