WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
A single-vehicle crash in Waupaca County sent a 20-year-old man to the hospital, according to sheriff’s officials.
The crash was reported just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 2 and happened on Hwy. N near Whiteclover Road. Police say the westbound driver veered off the road and struck a tree and power pole. As a result of the crash, power lines snapped and were lying on the roadway, complicating rescue efforts.
The driver, who is from Odgensburg, was airlifted to ThedaCare Medical Center in New London. His current condition has not been specified and his name has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
