One person is injured and a portion of Hwy. 29 is shut down Tuesday morning after a propane truck overturned, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.
The single-vehicle rollover happened at about 3:18 a.m. Tuesday, June 4 on Hwy. 29 near Abbotsford, about 1.5 miles east of Hwy. 13. Police say the driver of the semi truck was taken to Marshfield Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. The driver, a 45-year-old man, was ejected from the cab when the truck overturned, according to police.
The public was not in any danger, according to sheriff’s officials.
As a result of the crash, eastbound and westbound traffic on Hwy. 29 was reduced to a single lane in each direction for hours on Tuesday.
The driver’s name has not yet been released. The crash remains under investigation.
