TOWN OF BRADLEY, Wis. — A 60 year-old man is dead following an ATV crash June 5 in the Lincoln County town of Bradley, sheriff’s officials said.

At 8:21 p.m. police received a 911 report of an ATV crash on Park Lane, north of Thomas Road. A preliminary investigation suggests the driver of the ATV was traveling northbound on Park Lane when he missed a curve and rolled the vehicle, according to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department news release.

The driver was ejected from the ATV and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver was not wearing a helmet and there were no passengers in the vehicle. Police say alcohol and speed appear to have been factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

There have been eight fatal ATV/UTV crashes in Wisconsin to date, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The name of the victim will be released later today.
