A large police presence is being reported at a home in the 300 block of North Second Avenue, where crime scene tape now surrounds the two-story building.
Several witnesses tell Wausau Pilot and Review there are multiple police and fire vehicles outside the home. One neighbor said she saw officers and what appeared to be crime scene techs on Friday afternoon.
Another neighbor reports hearing what sounded like two gunshots.
In an email to Wausau Pilot and Review, Wausau Police Chief Ben Bliven said he expects to release more information later today.
