Marathon County volunteer opportunities: Week of June 10

Career Closet Outfitter. United Way’s Emerging Leaders is looking for people who like to put together outfits and help others choose no-cost items for their interview or the first weeks on the new job! Sorting acceptable intake is also needed. Available times: Tue. 3-5 p.m., Wed. 11 a.m.-1p.m. or Thurs. noon–2 p.m. at the United Way office, 705 S. 24th Ave., Suite 440. Help in a Variety of Ways. The Open Door of Marathon County meets needs of people leaving incarceration. Caring volunteers provide assistance with clothing, housing / job searches and Foodshare. Times available: 5 a.m. -noon Monday through Friday and 5 a.m.-10 a.m. on weekends. Contact Sarah, Christina or Anne at 715-848-4044 or opendoor319@gmail.com.

Volunteer Record-Keeping Work. Monk Botanical Gardens is seeking someone who knows his or her way around a computer, pays attention to details and has a passion for the Gardens. Help is need for 4-5 hours a week processing incoming donations and members. Patriotic Quilts and Pillow Cases. Aseracare Hospice is in need of quilters to make red, white and blue quilts for veterans and decorative pillowcases for hospice patients. Call Shirley at 715-355-4797 or email shirley.bungert@aseracare.com.
