Jon Weiler, executive director of the Highground Veteran Memorial Park, spoke to the Veterans Weekly Cup of Coffee on May 29 about the Highground memorials, its learning center and education programs.

The Highground was recently gifted a 300-acre camp bringing the total acres of The Highround in Neillsville to 460.

The park includes many memorials: Vietnam Tribute (Fragments), National Native American Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean Tribute, World War II Globe, Gold Star Tribute, Wisconsin Persian Gulf Tribute, plus many others. The park also features a learning center museum, library, media center, gallery, a gift shop, information center and a meditation garden.

The Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee meets ever Wednesday at Denny’s in Rothschild from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All veterans are welcome. For more information, call Mike Heilmann at 715-8460-0166.
