WAUSAU – The Badger State Games’ Summer Games is celebrating 35 years of sporting events in Wisconsin, allowing athletes of all ages and abilities to compete. Those who metal are eligible to compete in the State Games of America in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Here are the Badger State Games events happening this weekend:

BMX Series Racing

The third qualifying race in this series of seven as BMX arrives in Oshkosh at Winnebagoland BMX. The Badger State Games BMX Series 2019 takes us around Wisconsin with USA BMX clubs from DeForest, Elkhorn, Fond Du Lac, Oshkosh, Rhinelander and Wisconsin Rapids. The series began in Elkhorn on Feb. 10 and concludes with the Championship in DeForest on Oct. 5. On-site registration is available. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/bmx.

Racing Begins: 12:30 p.m.

Cornhole

Where: La Crosse Family Moose Lodge, 1932 Ward Ave., La Crosse

Start Time – Singles: 10 a.m.

Start Time – Doubles: 1:30 p.m.

Weightlifting

BSG weightlifting is hosted by Warrior Barbell and takes place in New Berlin. Prizes and metals will be awarded to all weight class and age divisions. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/SummerMartialArts.

Wrestling

Wrestlers gather at Wausau West High School to compete in several weight classes – Grades K-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-12, Modified, Masters and Grand Masters. Late registrations are due by June 20. More details available at www.visitwausau.com/wrestling.
