Your letters: ‘Pride Month’ would downplay major holidays

Dear editor,

I agree with Emily Schaefer but want to add a couple more thoughts.

If we approve every diverse issue for a celebration of that thought we would have to approve every political, religious or any other differences in all our people. We’d end up with not only a monthly celebration but it would force a weekly one.

My other thought is that it would take away from the major Holidays we have now…making them less important. Do we want to downplay the importance of our Labor Force or downplay our Veterans?
