WAUSAU —  Aspirus will break ground on the Aspirus Family House at the corner of 28th Avenue and Westhill Drive on June 25 as the organization works to better serve the needs of patients and their families.

Every year, thousands of people travel to Wausau from regions served by Aspirus hospitals and clinics for specialty care. This includes patients traveling for long-term outpatient care, as well as families whose loved ones are hospitalized.

The Aspirus Family House, adjacent to the Aspirus Wausau Hospital, will help patients and families with temporary housing during difficult times in their lives.

The renovation will begin following a groundbreaking celebration on June 25, and the Family House will begin serving guests in January 2020.
