WESTON, Wis. — Four people were arrested Wednesday as part of a drug investigation, according to Everest Metro Police Chief Clay Schulz.

Investigators searched a residence on Camp Phillips Road Wednesday evening prior to arrests being made. Readers contacted Wausau Pilot & Review after noticing a significant police presence in the area.

Everest Metro Police Sgt. Terry Peterson said the Marathon County Special Investigations Unit executed the search. EMPD is a part of the unit, which spearheads significant drug investigations in the county.

“We were assisted by the Dept. of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the SAFER fire department,” Peterson said. “The Weston residence is a single family residence. This incident is not related to the Wausau incident.”

No names have been released and no additional details are available Thursday.
