Marathon County Public Library events: Week of July 7

All ages are invited to make mini paintings of a starry sky using watercolors, salt, star stickers, and watercolor paper on July 8 from 3-4 p.m. at the Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee. Free, with registration required. To register, call 715-693-2144.


Kids can show off their creativity (and their kindness) by painting rocks at the Stratford Branch, 213201 Scholar St., Stratford. Stop by any time the library is open on either July 8 or July 9 to paint a picture, message or funky design on your rock, then give it to a friend or hide it around town for someone to find. Free. Kids and tweens who enjoy the “I Survived” book series can participate in a morning of activities on July 8 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Rothschild Branch, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild.
