TOWN OF BRADLEY, Wis. — One person was injured Sunday in a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 8, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

Police and rescue crews were called at about 1:19 p.m. Sunday to Hwy. 8 east of Hwy. 51 for a report of the crash, which happened in the Lincoln County town of Bradley. Police say the driver of a westbound pickup attempted to avoid traffic that was backing up but lost control when he hit the brakes, striking an eastbound vehicle.

A passenger in the eastbound vehicle, a 79-year-old Minnesota woman, was injured in the crash. She was treated and released.

The driver of the pickup, a Michigan man, was not injured but will be cited, police said.

No names were released.
