WAUSAU PILOT AND REVIEW
Police in Wausau are calling a death in downtown Wausau Monday an apparent suicide.
The victim is a 16-year-old Wausau boy, according to Wausau Police Capt. Ben Graham.
Police and fire officials responded at about 1:52 a.m. to the 400 Block of North First Street for a report of a suicidal boy in the Jefferson Street ramp. Upon arrival, the boy was found dead, police said.
Crime scene tape was used to block off an area for several hours. Foul play is not suspected.
The scene has since been cleared.
The boy’s name will not be released.
