WAUSAU — McDevco will open a pop-up Gear Center, a collaborative idea and co-working space, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 25 at 1415 Merrill Ave., Suite 140, in Wausau to build brand awareness.
Over the past five years, pop-up shops have gained popularity across the United States. Pop-up shops give entrepreneurs, online and small businesses the opportunity to experiment with products and services at a low risk/cost to them. Pop-ups are flexible and there are no expectations, as the entrepreneur/business owner makes his or her own rules.
Pop-up shops can make significant profits, along with building their client base.
McDevco has served as Marathon County’s economic development partner for the past 41 years.
