Dear editor,

I am taking a moment to look through all of the celebrations that go on throughout the year on a monthly basis. I see that they come from all of the cultures that make up our amazing country. It is a wonderful way to learn about each other. I see that we have African American History month in February, National Women’s Awareness and Irish Heritage month is in March, In April we have National Deaf History month. May is a busy month celebrating Asian Pacific Heritage, Older Americans, ( one I plan on celebrating next year ) , and Jewish American Heritage Month. There are many more but you see my point is that not all of us celebrate each of these amazing cultures but they are there for us, they are our right to celebrate them if we wish. It would be wrong and short sighted if the board should overturn their previous vote of June being Nation Pride month.
