LAKE HALLIE, Wis. — Five people, including one juvenile boy, were shot to death, victims of an apparent homicide in Chippewa County, officials said.

Two other people were injured.

According to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded at 10:30 p.m. Sunday to a 911 regarding a shooting at a Lake Hallie home. When they arrived, deputies found a man and woman dead at the scene. Two other adults were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds, police said.

Four hours later, deputies went to a town of Lafayette home to notify a family member of one of the victims found dead earlier in the night. But when they arrived, the discovered three more victims dead from gunshot wounds, including a man, a woman, and a juvenile. The age of the boy who died was not immediately released.

Officials say one person, who is now dead, is a suspect in both homicide investigations.

Names of the victims have not yet been released.
