Attempted teen abduction reported in Waupaca County

Police in Waupaca County are investigating the alleged attempted abduction of a 17-year-old girl Sunday in the Waupaca County town of Farmington, near the Chain O’ Lakes.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department, police received a 911 call at 9:44 p.m. Sunday about the attempted abduction on Otter Drive. Police say the girl told police she was walking down the road when a white man in a dark-colored crew cab pickup pulled up behind her. The man, described as about 6’2″ tall with a muscular build, exited the pickup and tried to force the girl into the back seat.

The girl escaped without injury and the suspect fled the scene in his vehicle, police said.
