MARSHFIELD, Wis. — A 10-year-old boy was killed after being struck Saturday by a van in a Marshfield parking lot, police said.
Rescue crews were called at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday to a parking lot in the 1600 block of North Central Avenue for a report of a crash. Police say the boy, who was in a wheelchair, was struck after the van accidentally moved in reverse.
The victim has been identified as Micah LaSee, of Spencer.
Micah was taken to the Marshfield Medical Center. He died at the hospital later in the day, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
