A 26-year-old Colby man is facing felony charges after allegedly sending multiple photos and at least one video of his penis to a 17-year-old girl.
An initial appearance is set for Aug. 8 for David A. Paul, who is charged with causing a child to view a sex act. The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of six years in prison $10,000 in fines.
An investigation, prompted by a phone call from the girl’s mother, began May 21. According to the police report, Paul began chatting with the girl in February through Facebook messenger and sent multiple photos of his penis along with sexually explicit messages over a two-month span despite knowing the girl was underage. Police say Paul tried to arrange a meetup for sex several times and sent the girl a video of himself ejaculating.
Paul is not in custody but is being summoned for his initial appearance The charges were filed Aug. 8 in Marathon County Circuit Court.
