Five Guys, the national restaurant chain that features hand-cut french fries, milkshakes made with Ghirardelli chocolate, and made-to-order burgers and sandwiches, will hold a grand opening at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9.
Former NBA player Kris Humphries, who co-owns the chain, will appear at the opening, according to the restaurant’s business manager. The Humphries family opened their first Five Guys franchise location about 10 years ago in Minnesota and now has about 1,500 locations worldwide.
The Rib Mountain restaurant is located at 1301 Starling Lane, a newly built 6,300-square-foot retail building that will also be home to Kay Jewelers and one other business. REI Engineering proposed the project, which was spearheaded by Herbeck Development of Appleton.
