Food Delivery for Senior Neighbors. Faith in Action is looking for volunteers to pick up food items from The Neighbors’ Place in Wausau and make deliveries to elderly neighbors in the area. Deliveries are on Wednesdays every two weeks in the morning. Contact Jamie at 715-848-8783.

Help People Begin a New Chapter.  The Open Door of Marathon County meets needs of individuals leaving incarceration. Caring volunteers provide assistance with clothing, housing / job searches and Foodshare. Turkey Trot Volunteers. Come out on Thanksgiving Day and be a part of the Tenth Eastbay Turkey Trot event that supports the Marathon County Hunger Coalition. A variety of volunteer roles are available.  The biggest need is for Course Marshalls along the route. Volunteer Screener for American Red Cross.  Talk to potential volunteers to determine the best role for them during disaster and ongoing regular emergency support in the community.  Contact Lee at [email protected], if you are interested in recruiting for Red Cross.

Be a Reading Buddy. Nurture the love of reading as you read to children over the lunch hour at Mosinee, Marathon and Edgar Elementary school locations beginning in October 2019. Application and training process will be provided in September. Contact Krista at 715-298-5719 or [email protected].
