WAUSAU — NAOMI will sponsor a transit forum from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at City Grill, 203 Jefferson St. in Wausau. Doors open at 5.
The keynote speaker is Greg Seubert from MetroRide. Sen. Jerry Petrowski, Rep. Pat Snyder, Marathon County board member John Robinson and other local leaders will also address the group.
The goal of the forum is to review the status and challenges of expanding the current public transit system. NAOMI, North Central Area Congregations Organized to Make an Impact, will report the results of a transit challenge held in November 2018.
