Wausau police are investigating after a bullet struck a home Sunday on the city’s west side.

At about 8:26 p.m. Aug. 18, an officer responded to the 800 block of 22nd Place in the city of Wausau for a report of a bullet entering a residence. Police say a single bullet traveled through a fence on the south side of the victim’s property before striking the home.

Wausau Police Capt. Ben Graham said the homeowner, who was inside the home when the shot was fired, was not injured.

The case is currently under investigation and no arrests have been made to date, Graham said.
