The Badger State Games’ Summer Games are celebrating 35 years of bringing Olympic-style sporting events to Wisconsin, allowing athletes of all ages and abilities to “Go for the Gold.”
Custom spinning medals in Gold, Silver, and Bronze are new this year to commemorate the Games’ 35th anniversary. Those who medal are then eligible to compete in the State Games of America taking place in Virginia. Here’s what’s coming up this weekend.
A modern version of Polo comes to Wausau this weekend as teams of players (Squads) compete in various spots around Wausau. As in standard polo, players use mallets to hit a ball, but this is played on a hard surface instead of grass.
