Two people were ejected from a vehicle that crashed Sunday afternoon in a Rib Mountain parking lot, officials confirmed.
The crash happened at about 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Kohl’s Department Store, 3600 Rib Mountain Drive. Witnesses say a maroon-colored vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.
Rescue crews from SAFER requested mutual aid from Wausau Fire to respond to the call. Both people were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
Both people inside the vehicle were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment. The severity of their injuries has not been specified.
There’s no word yet on what led to the crash.
