A 25-year-old man is dead following an ATV crash late Saturday in the Langlade County town of Ainsworth, officials said.
The Langlade County Sheriff’s Department, along with crews from Pickerel Fire and Rescue, responded to the crash at 10:55 p.m. Saturday. Lifesaving measures were not successful and the man, whose name has not yet been released, died at the scene.
There were no other passengers or vehicles involved in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Sixteen people have died so far this year in ATV crashes in Wisconsin, according to the state Department of Natural Resources.
