One person has died following a crash Sunday in a Rib Mountain parking lot, officials confirmed early Monday.
The crash happened at about 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Kohl’s Department Store, 3600 Rib Mountain Drive. Witnesses say a maroon-colored vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash, which involved multiple vehicles.
Two people were ejected from the maroon vehicle. Both were transported to local hospitals, where one occupant, a woman, died of her injuries, according to police. The other occupant of the vehicle remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
It is unclear what led to the crash, which remains under investigation. No names have been released.
