WAUSAU ? Crisp, cool air is on the way in central and northern Wisconsin and with it comes some great ways to celebrate the change in seasons.

At 10 a.m. today, Aug. 29, Wisconsin Public Radio “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes Travel Wisconsin Secretary Designee Sara Meany to the show for tips on the best picks for fall festivals and road trips. ArtStart Community Cultural Development Director Melinda Childs will also join in the conversation to talk about Project North, a Rhinelander music festival that makes its debut this year.

From hayrides to apple picking, there’s something for everyone this fall in Wisconsin, all within easy driving distance for a quick weekend road trip.

“Route 51” is heard Thursdays at 10 a.m. on The Ideas Network stations 101.3 & 91.9/Wausau, AM 930/Auburndale-Stevens Point, 99.1/Stevens Point, 100.9/Marshfield, 90.3/Park Falls, 89.1/Adams-Wisconsin Rapids, and 89.9/Rhinelander-Eagle River.
