A 60-year-old southern Wisconsin woman is hospitalized after her ATV struck a tree Sunday in the town of Harrison, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say the woman, who was not wearing a helmet, was riding with a group on a trail between Cinder Road and Parrish Road when she crashed. Town of Russell rescue crews responded to the crash and removed the woman from the woods. Life Link Nine responded to the scene, but paramedics opted to transport the woman by ground to Ascension Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, police said.
The victim’s name has not been released.
