Work to repair a damaged bridge girder on the Alderson Street bridge over Highway 29 in the villages of Rothschild and Weston, will begin Sept. 9, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

Motorists can expect to encounter one lane of traffic on eastbound Highway 29 between Business Highway 51 and Alderson Street between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. A temporary regulatory speed of 55 mph will be posted on Highway 29 during work operations. Traffic on Alderson Street will be restricted to one lane in each direction utilizing the two northbound lanes.

Construction is scheduled for completion on Sept. 17 and is weather dependent.
