WESTON – The Evergreens tandem of Tamirat Knutson and Diego Sanchez proved too tough to overcome for the Lumberjacks in the Wisconsin Valley Conference opener for DCE.

After a scoreless opening half, Knutson struck for the first of his two goals off a feed from Sanchez 10 minutes into the second half.

A little over 20 minutes later the DCE duo switched places with Sanchez finding the back of the net off an assist from Knutson.

Less than a minute later, Knutson tallied his second goal of the match and Sanches picked up the assist to seal the win for the Evergreens.

East managed three shots on goal and the DCE keeper tandem of John Belton and Matt Schafer combined on the shutout.
