Marathon County will put the spotlight on ginseng during the week of Sept. 15.
Ginseng Week events include a scavenger hunt, field tours and a ginseng exhibit at the Wausau Center mall. Area restaurants also will feature ginseng food and beverages.

Also, Wisconsin Ginseng: Gold Standard Days will be held Dec. 4 through Dec. 6. More than 25 overseas companies have been invited to visit Wausau and Marathon City during Wisconsin Ginseng: Gold Standard Day. Buyers from pharmaceutical companies, innovators of energy drinks and cosmetic companies will join retail store owners as they search for the best quality of ginseng in the world. Countries represented are China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam and the U.S.
