WAUSAU – Wanna sing? The Grand Theater has formed a flash mob program of sorts for people who love to croon.
The Grand’s Insta-Choir, a spontaneous singing group for singers of all skill levels, will congregate at The Grand every few months to perform.
How it works
Those who have registered to receive notifications will receive a text message with event information a few days beforehand. Participants are then invited to show up at The Grand, grab some sheet music and learn a new song with other community members, all in under an hour.
“We’re really excited to provide a new opportunity for community members to experience the arts together,” said The Grand’s Executive Director Sean Wright, in a news release. “We think it’s going to be a great way to enjoy the power of making music as a community.”
