Dale Robinson
Dale Henry Robinson, 91, of Wausau died on Sept. 12, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. Dale was born May 11, 1928, in Wausau, Wisconsin, the son of Henry and Eva (Malone) Robinson.
Dale attended St Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Wausau High School. After graduation, he was employed by Steuber Dairy as a route man, Kraft Foods and retired as a counselor from Lincoln Hills school in 1991.
Dale was active as a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader, youth baseball coach, Holy Name Society at St Mary’s Church, union president for AFSCME and local president of AARP, as well as the St. Mary’s 1942 “Lunch Bunch” leader. Hobbies included making potent wine, hunting/fishing (where plenty of stories were made up), get-aways to the Manson Lake cottage, collecting antiques and train sets, belt buckles, coins and stamps. He was also active in numerous local, state and national political campaigns. Dale, his brother David and father Henry built the Robinson Breezy Point tavern on Manson Lake and served many 7-ounce shorty’s during the summer months in his younger years.
Dale is survived by his wife, Hedda, his ex-wife, Nancy Robinson, and their children; John (Mary), Steve (Vicky), Bob (Nancy), Mark (Royce), Anne Heggelund (Eric), Sue Jensen (Glen) and his daughters-in law Amy Robinson and Jenny Robinson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Eva Robinson (Malone), as well as his brother David and sons Tom and Rich Robinson.

The funeral mass will be Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 11:30 a.m. at St Anne’s Catholic Church, 700 West Bridge St., Wausau, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau, on Monday, Sept. 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., immediately followed by a rosary service. There will also be a visitation prior to the funeral Mass at St Anne’s Catholic Church from 10:30-11:30 a.m..

Michael DeSciscio
Michael Dan DeSciscio, 72, of Rothschild died from cancer at home on Sept. 11, 2019, surrounded by his loving family under the care of Aspirus Home Hospice. Mike was born in Cloquet, Minnesota, on April 27, 1947, to Daniel and Lillian DeSciscio. Mike grew up in Proctor, Minnesota, attended Proctor High School and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He married the love of his life and soul mate of over 51 years, Sandra (Gilderman) in 1968.
After college, Mike began management training at US Steel-Duluth Works. After the mill was shut down, he began a career in chemical and mineral sales to the pulp and paper industry. As a top performer in sales and sales management, he attained the role of regional vice president for ECC International’s North American Paper Group and after a merger, retired from Nalco/Ecolab as district manager. After retirement, Mike and Sandy ran a small dental lab in Weston for seven years.
Family was the focus of Mike’s life and he followed his grandchildren’s academic, sports, musical and church activities faithfully. Being a model railroader, Mike enjoyed building and operating a home layout with his grandchildren. He enjoyed music and began studying accordion at age 8. His goal was always to be a fully competent musician who happened to play accordion. Mike felt privileged to share music at many facilities and events, including being the official accordionist for the the Never Forgotten Honor Flight pre-flight banquets. He was a 43-year member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as church school teacher, elder, deacon and music program accordionist.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Art Gilderman and brother-in-law Bobby Gilderman. He is survived by his wife Sandy, daughters Tara (DeLosse) Fussell, Middleton, Wisconsin, Melissa (John) Krasowski, Wausau, mother-in-law Lillian Gilderman, Carlton, Minnesota, brother-in-law David Gilderman, Minneapolis, aunt Lorraine Sullivan, Virginia, Minnesota, and grandchildren Ashley Krasowski, Gianna Fussell, Adam Krasowski, and Michael Fussell, and many special friends and family members.
A service celebrating Mike’s life will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at First Presbyterian Church, 406 Grant St., Wausau. In lieu of flowers, Mike has requested the family send memorial gifts to organizations that touched his life personally, such as the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, American Diabetes Association and the Middleton EMS Paramedics.
Mike’s family wishes to thank doctors Chris Peterson and Chris Platta, and all of the special nurses and team members at the Aspirus Regional Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Bret Stysly, Aspirus Pulmonary and Critical Care for their loving and compassionate care. Special thanks to Aspirus Medi-Vac and their crew in assisting Mike with first class attention and care. Finally, thank you to Aspirus Home Hospice, most notably Carrie P., RN, and her team.
Mike emphatically enjoyed sharing his passion of music through playing his accordion. For those who were fortunate enough to have heard him play, you heard the story of his heart. A courageous man of strength and perseverance. He inspired us all.

Gary Framke
Gary C. Framke, 73, of Edgar died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born Aug. 11, 1946, in Wausau, son of the late Carl and Phyllis (Salefske) Framke. On Aug. 24, 1973, he married Debra Waniger at the Ebenezer United Church of Christ, town of Cleveland. She survives.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during Vietnam in both Guam and San Diego, California. For many years, he worked for Marathon Cheese Corp., until his retirement. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed building model cars, puzzles, reading and working in the woods. He was also a fan of the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and NASCAR.
Survivors include, his loving wife of 46 years, Deb; three sons, Gary (Dominique) Framke, Gilbert, Arizona, Greg (Nikki) Framke, Mosinee and Geoff Framke, Edgar; six grandchildren, Elijah, Alexis, Isaiah, Montgomery, Maisie and Chesney; two step-grandchildren, Mikayla and Aidan; and four siblings, Carol (George) Griesmer, Edgar, Charles Framke, Athens, Robert Framke, Athens and Sandra Framke, Ohio.
Visitation will be on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a service of remembrance at 1 p.m. Following services at the funeral home, military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 393, Edgar and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10187, Edgar.

Maynard Breunig
On Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, Maynard Louis Breunig, loving husband and father, passed away from congestive heart failure at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital at age 72. Maynard was born on Feb. 8, 1947, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Anna (Dault) Breunig. He worked for GTE/Verizon as a data technician specialist in Wausau, Wisconsin. While working at GTE, Maynard earned many awards and certificates for his excellent work.
On Oct. 15, 1983, he married Bonnie Jean (Van Rixel) LaBarge. Together they raised six children; his son, Cory; and step-children, Matthew, Tammy, Troy, Yancy and Shane. Maynard had a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
He was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Trappers’ Association where he served as the director for several years. In 2014, he received the District Director of the Year Award. In 1987, Maynard received the LaCroix Certificate for Meritorious Service after saving a life by applying the Heimlich maneuver.
Maynard was preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond and Anna (Dault) Breunig; his brother, Robert Breunig; and sister, Barbara (Breunig) Renken; his father and mother in-law, Matthew and Dorothy Van Rixel; brother-in-law, Michael Van Rixel; and sister-in-law, Diana Hanke.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bonnie (Van Rixel) Breunig of Wausau; sisters, Delores (Breunig) Bonkoski of Merrill and Irene (Breunig) Schepp of Merrill; and brother, David (Maria) Breunig of Merrill; his son, Cory Breunig (Erin Drost) of Veldenville; steps-sons, Matthew LaBarge of Hatley, Troy (Barbara) LaBarge of Madison, Yancy LaBarge of Schofield, and Shane (Nicole) LaBarge of Appleton; step-daughter, Tammy (Jeff Mattern) LaBarge of Edgar; grandchildren, Brandon Schram, Samatha (David) Teresinski, Dakota Malinowski, Casandra (Rick) Leen, Dina and Trey LaBarge, James McFann, Arianna, Kohl and Keaton LaBarge, Madison, Michael, Maleah, and Mitchell LaBarge; and great-grandchildren, Kaylor Garski, Brian LaBarge, Arabella Burden, Kaylee Leen; goddaughter, Penny Gryskiewicz; and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at Village of Hewitt Hall, 7688 McLean, Drive, Hewitt, Wisconsin (on County Q)” OR “Town of Hewitt Town Hall, H12399 County Rd Q, Wausau, WI”. The family thanks all the doctors and nurses who have cared for Maynard, especially those in the Cardiac ICU and Palliative Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
