WAUSAU — Wausau will hold a public meeting to present upcoming improvements on Scott Street between Second and Fifth streets from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 16 at Wausau City Hall, 407 Grant St., in the Council Chambers.

The project would add overhead traffic signal indications, pedestrian push buttons and pedestrian countdown timer indications at the currently signalized Scott Street intersections with Second, Third and Fifth streets. In addition, at those intersections plus the Fourth Street intersection, the street lighting would be updated with taller poles and new lighting.

Project maps and other information will be on display and city staff will be available to explain the proposed improvements, answer questions and take comments. The meeting will be conducted open-house style.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter, you can request one by contacting Allen Wesolowski at least three working days prior to the meeting. City Hall facilities are wheelchair accessible.

If you have questions or cannot attend the meeting but would like to find out more about the project, contact Wesolowski at 715-261-6762 or [email protected].
